Gina Fazio

Gina holds a BA in music, with an emphasis in piano performance, from California State University Fresno. While attending CSUFresno, she studied with Philip Lorenz and has continued her studies with Sally Christian. Gina has been an accompanist for Fresno Unified School System, accompanist for dance classes at CSUFresno, pianist for Theatre Three, and Stage Works Fresno. She also was a member for the Music Alumni Association at CSUFresno where she set up fund raising activities. She started a chamber concert series which she organizes and performs in every year as part of fund raising activities for a local church. There she is also an accompanist for soloists and the choir as well as performing in events throughout the year. Gina has taught piano for over 30 years. In addition to teaching piano, Gina is also a licensed attorney.

My primary goal is to make learning to play the piano fulfilling and fun! I believe that music is a language. And like any language there are many basics that must be mastered. I attempt to cover all areas of musicianship: theory, technique, analysis, harmony, ear-training, sigh-reading, performance, and comprehensive study of musical literature in a progressive fashion. The study of music has a profound impact not only in one’s emotional and spiritual life, but studies have shown that it utilizes much of the brain making it valuable in all areas of development. I believe that this makes it essential for young and old.
