Rhonda holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina, also studied violin and piano at Fresno Pacific University, where she also sang in the concert choir and played violin with the baroque ensemble. Rhonda worked as a special education teacher before devoting herself to music instruction. She has been thrilled to learn cello and classical guitar since college, and loves to help people of all ages try a new instrument.
I like to work with students to meet their own personal music goals. Though my training is classical, I am happy to help students on any style that feels exciting and fulfilling to them. Through my experiences as a teacher and as a mother of a child on the spectrum give me a strong desire to help students with learning differences or disabilities.
"Rhonda has been the perfect teacher for my son. He is musically gifted but has special needs and doesn't learn the same way as most children. We had tried other piano teachers in the past, but they weren't sure how to help him learn more than he already knew.
Rhonda is patient and flexible and has built a great relationship with our son. She focuses on teaching him the way he learns rather than using traditional teaching methods.
Our son's skills have improved and his love for music has grown. We are so thankful to have found her!" Jenni S.
