Jackson Snead is a international violinist who is currently studying his Masters at Fresno State University, being classically trained and learning Jazz and Rock as well. He has earned his Bachelor degree from California State University, Long Beach studying under Moni Simeonov, who is a former student of Midori Goto. He is currently being taught under Dr. Limor Toren-Immerman. Through his studies, he is also proficient in piano. Jackson started playing the violin when he was 5, under the guidance of John Wang and his family, who has a long history in the arts. He spends part of his time in Japan performing and teaching students of all ages and levels. While in Japan he studies under the guidance of Hiroaki Watarai, a member of the Gunma Symphonic Orchestra. Some of the ensembles he has played for include Ars Nova Sinfonia, FOOSA Philharmonic, Asia America Youth Symphony, California Honor Orchestra, and the Long Beach Bob Cole Conservatory Orchestra. Currently he is the Concert Master for the Fresno State Symphony Orchestra.
